Stock Update: The new season of Brazil nuts from the Bolivian Amazon was due to arrive in Australia in May. Unfortunately Bolivia has been in a state of major unrest and disruption for the last two months, including massive road blockades, fuel shortages and therefore complete supply chain shutdown. A State of Emergency was declared on June 20, so now roads are being opened and trucks can get through. Our nuts are driven to a port in northern Chile from where they are shipped across the Pacific to Australia. We anticipate them arriving here mid-September - assuming no further social, climatic or any other disasters are involved!
