The Cashew Butter makes this basic smoothie creamy and smooth and also high in protein. Bananas are a given for any smoothie, and also add potassium and fibre. Add the milk of your choice, and there you have it...

Ingredients: 1-2 Tbsp Cashew Butter 1 Cup banana 1 tsp Maple syrup 1 shot brewed cooled coffee (or 1 tsp instant coffee) 1/2 red apple 1 Cup milk of your choice. |
Instructions: Add all ingredients to a high speed blender. Blend for 3-4 minutes or until completely smooth Pour and enjoy! |
Substitutes/ additions suggestions:
- Swap Cashew Butter for any other Totally Nuts Butter. I recommend Hemp Cashew Butter for sheer protein power.
- Use frozen mango or pineapple instead of banana. It won't be quite as smooth but will definitely taste amazing!
- Use any sweetener you like. Honey is great in smoothies, as are whole dates...
- Substitute a teaspoon of cacao powder for the coffee, or just a half teaspoon of vanilla.
- Add protein powder for even more protein.
